1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ShopHooks (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

ShopHooks provides webhook endpoint monitoring, health checks, alert notifications, and AI-powered analysis for Shopify developers and store operators. The Service includes:

  • Automated health checks on your webhook endpoints
  • Email and Slack alert notifications
  • AI-powered health summaries and incident investigation
  • Team collaboration features
  • Dashboard and reporting tools

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

4.1 Free Plan

ShopHooks offers a free plan with limited features (3 endpoints, 15-minute check intervals). The free plan may be modified or discontinued with 30 days' notice.

4.2 Paid Plans

Paid plans (Pro, Team) are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. All amounts are in US Dollars.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing settings in your dashboard. Upon cancellation, your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free plan. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

4.4 Refunds

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of initial purchase if you are unsatisfied with the Service. Contact us at support@shophooks.dev to request a refund.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to monitor endpoints you do not own or have authorization to monitor
  • Attempt to overwhelm, overload, or DDoS any endpoints through the Service
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or unlawful content
  • Share account credentials with unauthorized third parties
  • Circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or usage restrictions
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime.

No SLA for monitoring accuracy: While we make best efforts to accurately detect webhook failures, ShopHooks is a supplementary monitoring tool and should not be your sole reliability mechanism. False positives and false negatives may occur.

7. AI Features Disclaimer

ShopHooks uses AI (powered by Anthropic Claude) to generate health summaries and incident investigations. AI-generated content is provided “as is” and may contain inaccuracies. AI outputs are informational suggestions, not professional advice. You should verify any AI recommendations before acting on them. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is owned by ShopHooks. You retain ownership of your data (endpoint URLs, monitoring results, configurations). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShopHooks and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, revenue, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShopHooks from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@shophooks.dev. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
